A todo list with
room to grow into.
Most todo apps make you choose: simple, or powerful. memoratu starts simple — type a thing, it’s in your Inbox, done — and quietly has somewhere to go when a list needs to become a project, and a project needs structure. You never have to set that up. It’s there when you want it, and invisible until you do.
Screenshots from the iPhone app in development, running on sample data. Not yet available to download.
We would rather tell you than imply it.
memoratu is being built in the open. The account system and the data model are real and running. Most of the apps are not. Here is the whole picture, with nothing left out because it is inconvenient.

Nothing here is in an app store yet, and there is no way to sign up from a browser today. When that changes, What’s new will say so.
Three decisions that shape the whole thing.
Nothing is ever loose
There is no such thing as a todo floating outside everything. Every todo has a home, and if you clear its last one it goes back to Inbox. Inbox cannot be deleted, renamed or archived — it is always there, and it is always the floor.
The rules live on the server
Every client is a thin window onto the same account, with no business logic of its own. That is why what you can do is the same everywhere it exists — and why a new platform is a new window, not a second set of rules to keep in step.
Built to be used by a terminal
The command line was not an afterthought bolted on at the end. It was the first client built, which means anything that can make an authenticated request — including an AI agent in a terminal — can create a todo and tick it off.
Accounts are not open yet
There is no sign-up page. The account system, projects, lists and todos are all built and running on our server today — but the page you would use to sign in from a browser has not been built, so there is nothing honest to put behind that button yet.
When it exists, it will be here, and What's new will say so on the day.
